This online workshop is suitable for primary age children and their parents. To do it you need a set of battery-powered LED "fairly lights" plus some waste materials such as drinks bottles to make into a light sculpture.

The LED lights we distributed during Light Up Leicester 2020 were battery-powered ones with a screw to prevent accidental access and were, plastic coated. They should only be used by younger children under supervision. You should be able to source your own lights quite easily. HOWEVER, NEVER ALLOW YOUNG PEOPLE TO USE MAINS-POWERED LIGHTS AND ALWAYS READ THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
