Marcus West "Fibonacci Image with changing blue cells emerging from an orange background" (2015).
This exhibition of 20 prints by Marcus West in the Café Bar at Phoenix in Leicester features artwork created over 40 years. Starting with his early images made on computer-controlled pen plotters, we see artworks created in the Pascal language; algorithmic photo editing images; and finally work created with the Processing language. Throughout his long career, Marcus West regularly returns to themes, such as the Fibonacci sequence and mandala-like patterns.
As part of this exhibition, we are hosting an in-person talk by Marcus West on the 29th May in the Phoenix Terrace Room. This will be a FREE in-person event, but you should book via the Phoenix website. A recording of the event will be made available online.
